* Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken.
* Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve customers' problems.
* Determine charges for services requested, collect deposits or payments, or arrange for billing.
* Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation.
* Review insurance policy terms to determine whether a particular loss is covered by insurance.
* Contact customers to respond to inquiries or to notify them of claim investigation results and any planned adjustments.
* Sell various types of insurance policies to businesses and individuals.
* Interview prospective clients to obtain data about their financial resources and needs, the physical condition of the person or property to be insured, and to discuss any existing coverage.
* Call on policyholders to deliver and explain policy, to analyze insurance program and suggest additions or changes, or to change beneficiaries.
* Seek out new clients, including networking with existing clients to generate lists of prospects.
* Ensure that policy requirements are fulfilled, including any necessary medical examinations and the completion of appropriate forms.
* Customize insurance programs to suit individual customers, often covering a variety of risks.
* Explain features, advantages and disadvantages of various policies to promote sale of insurance plans.
* Calculate premiums and establish payment method.
* Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and handling policy renewals.
Possessing an insurance license is mandatory. For those who don't possess a property/casualty & life/health insurance license, an opporunity will be given applicant to obtain licenses shortly after hire.
