Federal Employee Retirement Services
FERS is an independent marketing organization specializing in Federal Employee Benefits. We have a lead program of mostly postal workers at this time and are looking for motivated agents to join our successful team. Each federal employee has many benefits through their agency but with recent cutbacks to the government the employee does not receive proactive support around their benefits. What we do is explain to them how their coverage works, what they are paying for and how to fill in the gaps if necessary. We provide the leads, you provide the solutions.
Qualifications
Agents who would like to join our organization must be licensed to sell Life Insurance in their state or territory. We are looking for someone who can work a system as we have all the plays already in place. Previous experience in the insurance field as well as an ability to demonstrate strong closing skills are essential traits that we look for. Other territories can be added to your docket once you've exhibited strong success.
Position
Our agents meet with Federal Employees on a regular basis at their house. Our job is to describe exactly how their benefits work through the government. Whether it be life insurance, retirement or disability we offer a wide range of products to help fit the client's needs. We have insurance products that are specific to the federal market as well as we position fixed and fixed indexed annuities as a solution to their rollover needs. This opportunity does not include any variable securities sales.
Compensation
This position is strictly a 1099 contract position. You work as an independent contractor as we do not offer any type of retirement or insurance plans to our agents. There is no base salary as your paycheck is determined by your success in the field. The main upside to this opportunity is that your income is unlimited as many of our agents make well into the 6 figures. You also get to set your own schedule in terms of meetings as we are very flexible for all of our agents.
